A 20-year vision for the historic center of Arvada.
Dig Studio is leading a team of planners, designers, and engineers to develop a vision for the next 20 years of public investments in historic Olde Town Arvada. Through a robust process of community engagement, including input from over 2,000 members of the public and various local organizations, our team has outlined a series of targeted strategies to maintain and enhance the special quality of life in Olde Town. These strategies, and the future projects they will recommend, are organized by a series of four guiding principles, developed through the many conversations with the community and a two-day planning charrette held in August 2022.
The four guiding principles that will steer this Olde Town plan are: Vibrant, Resilient, Connected, and Distinct. Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, this project will also deliver creative solutions and permanent designs for the two primary streets in Olde Town that were pedestrianized during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Olde Town is the historic heart of Arvada and well-connected to the larger region via the RTD G-Line.
The community overwhelmingly supports making the pedestrian streets a permanent feature of Olde Town.
