Central Park Neighborhood Parks + Parkways

Denver, Colorado

A system of parks and trails knits the community together.

  • A new precedent was established for water conservation in open space design after a process of education with residents.

  • Bicycle and walking trails connect throughout the community to form a 35-mile system that is connected to a regional trail network.

The transformation of the former airport into the largest urban infill site in America has progressed over the past 25 years. Our team has been involved since the early planning phases through the implementation of a connected system of over 1000 acres of parks and open space, creating the backbone of the development that brings the community to life.

From day one, the Central Park neighborhood was envisioned as a place where people will spend time outside. Dig Studio staff have worked on the design and implementation of almost every park, parkway, recreational facility and trail in the neighborhood.
