Blending nature with entertainment.
Drawing inspiration from naturally occurring forms and undulations of the nearby Cherry Creek, Dig Studio is developing a diverse collection of experiences for people of all ages to enjoy in the new 4-Mile Entertainment District. Six pedestrian focused spaces will connect the site internally and to its surrounding through upgraded paving materials, a raised speed table and pedestrian crossing to improve pedestrian safety and slow traffic, low water and low maintenance plantings, and stormwater quality planters. New spaces include a central lawn with an outdoor stage and shade structure and play boulders, an ice cream/play area with a splash play water feature, pop up market vendors, and an iconic shade structure and ice cream stand, a beer garden nestled within a tree grove, a public art focused plaza, an urban paseo, and creek side promenade. Together, these settings will promote connection, play, and relaxation, while inviting visitors, residents, and nearby office workers to pause, connect and explore.
With a layered landscape approach, the site design promotes connection and enhanced circulation between Cherry Creek and the new entertainment district
With an attention to provide experiences for people of all ages, a diverse collection of spaces create opportunities for visitors, residents, and nearby office workers to enjoy the site throughout all seasons
