Brewers Alley

Denver, Colorado

Transforming an alley into a pop-up beer garden.

“By transforming an alley into a pop-up beer garden, Denver aims to reshape how the public values these urban spaces.”

Brewer’s Alley was sponsored by the Denver Downtown Partnership, and was aimed at reshaping local perspectives of downtown alleys in hopes they’ll be viewed as valuable spaces and pedestrian amenities. During their inaugural year, Dig Studio transformed the alley between Curtis and Champa on 16th Street Mall into a pop-up beer garden where more than 90 business leaders, residents, and Downtown workers sampled beer from craft breweries, tasted delicious appetizers and enjoyed musical entertainment.

  • A bright “red hot” bar, tivoli lights, keg planters, turf carpeting, and a bubbling beer projection screen set the scene for a perfect evening of food and friends.

  • The alley transformation has continued as an annual event.
